About the book:
Wallace is at odds with the Midwestern university he finds himself attending. An introverted young man from Alabama, black and queer, he has left his family behind without escaping his past. At school, Wallace has enforced a distance within his own circle of friends but, over the course of one tumultuous weekend, that defense begins to fracture, exposing both a hostility and desire within.
