Cozy Kitty Letter Writing & Book Binding Holiday Workshop

Ring in the holiday season with an evening of warmth, joy, and paper at Storyline Bookshop! This workshop will teach you how to bind soft-cover journals with a needle and thread, and give you the opportunity & supplies to write your holiday letters and drop them in the mail— all with a winter-kitty theme. Here’s what your event ticket gets you:

1. One Winter Kitty Letter-Writing Kit per ticket, illustrated by Collin and printed by Allison. Each kit includes enough delightfully hand-crafted stationery to write 5 letters— with envelopes & patterned liners, writing paper, decorative stickers, and address labels. We’ll give you inspiring pointers on topics for writing your holiday letters, how to decorate them, and some stamps on-site so you can immediately drop them in the mail before you leave.
2. An exclusive bookbinding workshop presented by Allison that teaches participants how to bind soft-cover journals with a needle and waxed thread. Participants may bind up to three journals with their ticket— with a range of wintery cover patterns, interior paper styles, and waxed thread colors to choose from. Additional materials for further bookbinding past three journals will be available for purchase.
3. A demo from Collin on how to illustrate some unique lettering, spot illustrations & frames for addresses on your envelopes.
4. A special pop-up shop of Collin and Allison’s holiday goods— perfect for gift-shopping, wrapping, and stocking-stuffing. Additional sticker sheets and paper goodies will also be available to purchase to further decorate your letters & journals.

We will provide all the necessary materials you may need to enjoy an evening writing letters and binding journals— including cutting utensils, cutting mats, glue, pens, colored pencils, markers, double-sided tape, construction paper, and more. Please feel free to bring any special supplies or materials that you think would enhance your letter-writing/journaling experience. Refreshments will also be provided.

We also recommend that you arrive with a list of 5 or more people you’d like to write to + their mailing addresses. The informal dress code for the evening is festive fun. All cozy, cute, and mildly tacky sweaters are welcome!

Due to the required dexterity and sharp utensils involved in binding a journal with needle & thread, this event is limited to participants 10 years old and up. All participants must purchase a ticket for the event.

*Ticket purchases may be refunded up to 10 days before the event. After November 22, 2025, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
